Not the way you phrase it.
Abortion IS taking responsibility.

I pointed out that you don't know why Einstein agreed to help invent the atomic bomb.
Not that you're culturally backwards or intellectually inferior.
He agreed to help because he wanted to show his genius and to contribute to Science.
But that doesn't change the fact that he is a war criminal.

Yes, she does actually have the inherent right to refuse to support an unwanted parasite, regardless of how it got there. Consent to sex is not consent to remain pregnant.

Right, because killing your child is being a responsible parent. How lovely.
It is not a child. It is a fetus, it has not yet been born. If she does not wish to carry the pregnancy to term, she should not have to. If she terminates the pregnancy because she did not wish for it in the first place, who are you to gainsay her?

Wrong, and wrong.
A very blunt and poor understanding of the situation.
He was convinced and coerced that if he didn't help, the Nazis would invent the bomb before the Americans. Then all hell would break loose.
He was wrong, but he didn't know that at the time.
He was not a war criminal.

The baby is not her body.

I do think that killing 246 000 civilian; poisonning hundred of thousand other and making city inhabitable can be classed as war crime.
Especially when you have the cyniscm to study their reaction to the bombing.

So, if you rear-end my car, shredding my kidneys, I can demand a kidney from you and they will strap you down to a table and take it whether you like or not?
Ghastly.
Ideally, yes.
It's my fault that you're dying. If I can prevent it, I should be forced to do so.

Now, suppose the reason you rear ended me is that the brakes failed in your car. Not anything you did, but just a freak accident.
Still?
In that case, no.
Mind you, I really should have gotten my brakes checked.
Of course, failing brakes aren't exactly the best analogy for unwanted pregnancies. I haven't heard of any circumstances where a woman's vagina spontaneously crashed into a man's genitalia.

Actually, it works pretty well: Driving is a common activity that carries with it certain risks - much like sex.
In driving, we have certain things we use to mitigate that risk, such as brakes. In sex, we have certain things to mitigate that risk, such as condoms, hormonal birth control, vasectomies, spermicide and so on.
Sometimes, those things we use to mitigate that risk fail.

Yes, but sex isn't necessary, is it?
A lot of people need to drive because it's their only source of transportation.
Sex, on the other hand, is entirely optional.
