Well, I've heard the word "parasite" used every now and then, so I suppose this is an advancement.

The fetus is there because of the mother's actions. She has a responsibility to give birth to it.

That's why we don't treat people who get injured in car accidents. Their injuries are due to their own actions, and they have a responsibility to deal with them.

A car crash involves two people (or groups). Person A and Person B. Treating one won't result in the death of the other.

Pregnancy involves three groups. A & B (people having sex) and C (the fetus). Person C was not involved in the prior situation between persons A and B. It had no prior say, or input, or action. It should not be punished to alleviate the repercussions felt by person A (pregnant woman) as a result of her actions.
