Yes, at times our history hasn't been the greatest and if you look it has had dark moments but here we are today, still sort of going strong, stillbpart of the international community and still a good old constitutional parliamentary monarchy.

I think the UK is far too diverse of an island to be one nation.

China has managed to be one nation for hundreds of years, and yet it is far larger and more culturally diverse than Great Britain.

China's borders have changed over the years, they have had civil wars in the past, and they have ongoing secessionist movements now. Their size and diversity cause a lot of trouble.

I never said China was without its problems with ethnic tensions, but it has survived for a very long time as a political and cultural entity despite its diversity. The argument that diversity makes it impossible for a nation to survive as one unit is nonsense. The Roman Empire survived for 1,480 years despite its multi-ethnic, multicultural make-up for much of that time. Italy, Germany and Spain are all made up of smaller formerly sovereign or semi-sovereign states with distinct cultures and identities. Norfolk and Suffolk seems to think that cultural diversity makes it impossible for a nation to survive and thrive, a notion which I reject categorically.

Much of their wealth comes from inheritances. Which makes it incredibly galling when they demonise what they perceive as a "something for nothing" culture in the UK benefits system - when their own wealth is "something for nothing". They received it through being born. That is the definition of "something for nothing".

The lower classes don't deserve equal quantity because they don't have the responsibility and the ambition that for example the businessmen need to succeed. They could go for business if they wanted to. It's about choice.
The difference with something for nothing system and inheritance is the fact that when the government "helps" the lower class they take from others while in inheritance money is given out of your free will.
