That rises a concern of mine. I'll be on HRT as soon as the law changes (3 months or so I'm told), so I guess my worry is my medical history while moving to the states. No idea what'll hàppen.
Yeah, you'll have to pay an outrageous amount unless you're insured. Health insurance is about the wackiest thing that anyone from places with a NHS or who grew up in the military (and thus had all healthcare covered for you via military facilities,or if one wasn't available, an off base facility) so definitely learn up about how insane it can be.
I'll soon be discussing new insurance and coverage for surgery with a representative from the clinic I go to, I'l have more info on what it means, in Massachusetts in particular, after that.
I hope I'll have enough money. My parents apparently have no intention of helping me pay for anything whatsoever, which is odd, because before I told them they said they would. Although I have to get there first, because I'll probably screw myself over on college, not be allowed in and lose hope completely. As I've said before, it's mostly bad luck I'm still alive half the time. The universe is a fucking ass, and there's nothing I can do about it. They said "yeah, sure you're smart enough to get into university". But they said I was smart enough ti get straight As and they ain't happening. So yeah, life kinda sucks, and will continue to do so for the foreseeable future. Sometimes I wander why I bother hoping for anything.
