Yea-no, that's not what you said. At all.

Your EXACT words: "you mistake my reason for putting out these examples. It is not to debate them but to show that the party is anti-social-liberty. unless its guns. they love gun liberty."

So if you're not intending nor willing to debate or even discuss these examples, I'm just to accept them and move on? Perfect example of "Social Liberty" right there. ;)

you are supposed to accept that they are examples of social liberty issues that the republicans are against.

if you want to claim they ARENT social liberty issues or that the republicans ARENT against them, go ahead.

the right or wrong of the issues themselves are irrelevant to this thread.

Seriously? Did you even read what I fucking said? Posting definitions of words that I already knew the damn meaning of doesn't "prove" your bullshit. Try again.

That's great. Glad we got the basics down.

The United States of America is overwhelmingly made up of Christians (83%) and it shows up almost everywhere. Granted, we've seen a notable "secularization" as we try to include more faiths (and those of no faith) into our society to a greater degree, but make no mistake... it's naive to argue that modern Christianity doesn't influence each of our lives day-to-day to some degree. Many of our lawmakers base their legislation off of their personal (Christian) beliefs, many of the companies we work for (Hobby Lobby and ChicK-Fil-A are extraordinary examples) model their businesses off of personal (Christian) beliefs, and the list goes on and on and on... so while we are unquestionably a dejure secular nation, it's naive to believe we aren't a defacto Christian nation.

Define "Christian nation".

Sorry, but I'm starting to get seriously tired of having to re-post things over and over again... actually go re-read some of my previous comments, because I know I answered that one already.

What I'm saying is that many, but not all, Republicans believe in X, Y, and Z... but just because they do, doesn't make it party dogma. Instead of making sweeping statements that "the Republicans believe_______," please be more specific. To tie all this into the OP, for example, look at Mitt Romney and how his views vary from many of the more conservative ranks within his own party. Heck, there are some folks like Rob Portman who support same-sex marriage within the GOP, and that segment is growing.

Hmm, so the question is whether Romney is a masochist, or really just can't accept the fact that you can't actually just buy your way into the White House.

ive given it a lot of thought and ive decided that the prophet must have told him he had to try again.

I had previously thought that god had told him but he doesn't seem the type to claim direct communication from god so I moved on to the prophet theory.

Why would you want to? Ike was hardly a Republican, they just approached him first. His foreign policy was crap and his economic policies didn't make America this great place. A post-ww2 world where our industrial base was largely untouched by bombs did.

Definitely. We need another Ike. But we'd have to fight Nazis again first.

Uncertain what the two have to do with anything. Or if I'm suppose to defend his platform? I voted for Obama.

Romney LOVES to say anything. Last election for example he said one thing in one town and then the complete opposite the next one over. In the age of the smart phone; no politician should ever utter the phrase "I never said that"

He probably has convinced himself he never made the 47% comment or not caring about the poor.

I hope he runs. Easy victory for the democrat.

Well yeah it's not like Obama has ever said one thing to only do the exact opposite later.

But Romney is Romney. Never liked the guy and would never vote for him. Tbh though I don't want just an easy Democrat win. I want two contenders who are good.

Ooooohhhhhhhhh you are a dreamer.

I thought they discontinued that model.

That's not going to happen until people get off their collective arses and reign in their parties and make them present strong contenders.
