I would rather see Jon Huntsman as the GOP nominee than this retard again. He has failed the Republicans, and although his campaign was well executed, his lack of true Conservatism, as seen by him building the blueprint to ObamaCare: RomneyCare and his D- rating from the GOA doesn't help his credentials. Perhaps if he would advocate for more competition between healthcare insurers, the repeal of some of the gun laws, and true free markets would the Conservative base be happy and let him draw support from not just Conservatives, but also Libertarians. Sadly, his moderate so called "Conservative" positions and track record would make him a terrible President.

Of course, Cruz and Paul topped the latest GOP polls, which is a good thing.

Yeah, no. I will never vote for them. I really wish the Libertarians could field a sensible moderate.

And I really wish that Kim Jong Un will step down from his office, and allow his country to become a democracy. Just as your wish regarding Libertarians is a pipedream, as is mine.

Like who? Murray Rothbard? Lew Rockwell?

I have never heard of any relevant moderate Libertarian. Our best shot at the moment is Rand. Sure, he is a moderate and not a total non-interventionist, and sure, he is a social moderate, but he is still 200x better than any other politician around.

Yes. Romney can learn for a previous run and do things better + money isn't an issue. And he didn't lose by a big margin to Obama.

He's better than all the other Republicans.
I am a thirteen-year-old Dominican male known for my Europhilia and my lack of nationalism (for this country at least). I have yet to find a political ideology that fits me perfectly (I doubt it exists) but generally I'm a centrist leaning a bit toward the left. My family will move to Ireland some time in the summer.

It's still better than a name where if you ask for clarification which Bush someone means, "the one that went to war with Iraq" isn't precise enough.

Worse, actually. No party has done as badly in second term midterms as the Republicans did this time around in a long time. Mind you, Republican superiority in the most recent election is owed to four things: a massively gerrymandered House of Representatives that makes them seem more popular than they are, senate races in states usually favorable to the Republicans, midterm turnout greatly favoring their chances, and the unpopularity of President Obama. Only one of those will still be valid come next election (specifically the gerrymandering). Worse, with everything going in their favor, the Republicans failed to take the senate seat up for election in Virginia. In fact, as a national party, the GOP did pretty badly in a good deal of states. Add all of those states' and Virginia's electoral votes together and you have 270 (which is what is required for to win the Presidency).

This next election is likely going to be the Democrats' to lose, not the Republicans' to win. The midterms, if you solely go by results and ignore the underlying reasons for why they ended up being what they are, gloss over the uphill battle Republicans are going to face.

We're talking about USA? Republicans are favourites to win next elections. How are Republicans doing bad in midterms? Are you confusing Democrats and Republicans? GOP actually won in 2/3 states.
