I'm a big fan of brutalism, personally. Perhaps minimalist after that.

Though the best architecture is non-euclidean.

Time for some lovely pictures to counteract all the modernist rubbish in this thread, I think.

The Natural History Museum, London- a fine example of 19th century Romanesque Revival architecture.

L'Hôtel des Invalides, built in the Baroque style of 17th century France.

Wills Memorial Building, a magnificent early 20th century Neo-Gothic tower that is part of Bristol University.

Corvin Castle, Romania- a magnificent Gothic-Renaissance castle built by John Hunyadi, Voivode of Transylvania.

Greenock Sheriff Court is an example of Scottish Baronial architecture.

Matsumoto Castle is one of my favourite examples of traditional Japanese architecture.

The Honkan Gallery of the Tokyo National Museum combines traditional Japanese architecture with some Western influences. I think it's beautiful.

You should be informed that your opinion is not fact and everyone has their own interests, likes, and dislikes.
Just because you don't like modernism or minimalism doesn't mean it's rubbish. It means you don't like it.
You should, however, respect that others do like it.

For example, I fucking hate gothic grand, ornate, and baroque architecture.
But I couldn't care less that other people like it.
It just doesn't appeal to me.

I like numbers 2, 4, and 6.
The rest aren't so interesting.
Your list is missing some Russian architecture.

I like the Saint Basil's Cathedral, and the Kizhi Pogost.

I have a love for Spanish Colonial architecture and Traditional Dutch architecture. I can't say that I'm a huge fan of modernist architecture. Too plain for my taste, but that's just me.

I know I've been riding minimalist modernism's dick this whole thread, so I'll mention a couple others:

I love colonial American and feudal Japanese architecture. I want to visit both Boston and Kyoto one day.
I have a friend that lives in Boston, so that's more likely to happen first.

I don't like Colonial American architecture. It seems a bit...bland, to be honest. But, I love Japanese architecture, specifically traditional and feudal Japanese architecure. The same can be said for feudal Korean architecure, it's beautiful.

Yeah, can't stand them too much. My favorite building would probably be the Hagia Sophia.

Look, strange women lying on their backs in ponds handing out swords ... that's no basis for a system of government. Spanish Colonial Style architecture look good. When it comes to modern designs with Glass, the less Glass the better. Glass offers zero security and when it breaks its really awful to clean up. Yes, you could buy glass with intergrated wire. Or that glass which has a transparent plastic sheet so when it should not shatter if it breaks.
