I feel mostly to be born in the wrong country.

For starters I can't stand the weather, and even if I have been living here for 15/16 years I am just getting used to it, when I went to Mexico on 2013-2014 the weather was literally the thing I was made for (then again it was winter weather).

And time, seemingly yes, I would rather risk a wider chance of death living in the past than bearing the degenerations of this millennium.

Honestly, this is like the best time ever to be alive for me.

Not in a "quality of life" kind of way, thanks Obama, but in a "observe the utter chaos and upheaval" brand.

We're seeing technological singularities, railguns, hovercraft, self-tying shoes, the unfurling of dictatorships, a black president, and breakneck technological revolutions.

Not saying everything is good, hellz naw, but it is, as an observer, very interesting.

Just think of what someone born at the start of the 20th century saw compared to his forefathers. Who knows what we'll see, or dare I say even be, at the end of our lives in this century.

That said, I'm still waiting for my hoverboard and robohookers, so maybe I was born too early.

I wish I had been born in the 50's when times were simpler, of course I live in the deep south and the KKK would have had a bone to pick with me over my views on african americans but screw that.
A lie doesn't become truth, wrong doesn't become right, and evil doesn't become good just because it's accepted by a majority.

Too late? I love history as much as anyone else, but if anything, the futurist in me tells me I was born too early.

Of course, looking back in time, we are living in the future. Maybe I was born in just the right era.

As a member of multiple minorities - Filipino, atheist, gender egalitarian, trans rights activist, etc - I would have nothing to gain by being born earlier in history. I would have been a slave to the Spanish (or the US or the Japanese), persecuted by my own countrymen due to my atheism, ridiculed for my views on civil rights, and most likely killed for a combination of my political opinions.

So no, if anything I've been born too early and still have to witness plenty of persecution of minorities who have done nothing to deserve it.

No. Honestly, I was born too early. I wanted to be born in a world where being trans was largely accepted and that I would not be assaulted, raped, or murdered for a fundamental part of who I am.

Why would an anarchist civil rights extremist want to be a Victorian noble? Do you just like the aesthetic?

Yeah, it would've just been so refreshingly straightforward if I had to worry about being electrocuted or lobotomized and could be jailed for my sexual orientation. </3
