Never be taken? No thanks. I want to actually do something mildly interesting every now and then with my time on this earth.

As much as I despise stock markets for trying to ruin the Hindu undivided families, I don't think stock markets are gambling, they are a legitimate way of earning money and pure luck does not come into the picture

Please, diversify quickly. With just a few law changes in California (ie liberalization of gambling market), the California legislature could destroy Nevada's economy.Lalaki wrote:I am going to be writing this as someone from Reno, Nevada.
To me, personal freedom is a very important thing. So I would not support a ban on gambling. But I would hope that people can choose a different path for pleasure. Gambling is something that can turn into a bad situation quickly. Why not give the money to people in need, or spend it on going to an amusement park with the family? Those are activities that fill the heart with joy without any sort of risk. I would support people voluntarily coming together and closing casinos in favor of a cleaner and more hospitable environment.
This is a tricky position for me to take, as my state's economy derives a lot of revenue from the practice. But I do see potential for Reno and Nevada as a whole to switch to other forms of production. In fact, my city has been looking for ways to do that in the light of Las Vegas' growth, and the legalization of gambling elsewhere.

Get married and have kids then. A fulfilling life doesn't have to be dangerous, son. If fun is what you're after then go excercise and self-improve.
