Fashion Discussion Thread

Postby Union Of Canadorian Socialists Republic » Sat Dec 13, 2014 8:25 pm

In light of the almost certain lock of the former thread for grave digging, I have created this thread as a replacement.

So NSG, how do you dress?

I put a lot of effort in my look, and am not afraid to spend money on clothing. I recently bought a $200 pair of oxford boots which I absolutely adore. My wardrobe consists of blazers, scarves, skinny jeans, v neck sweaters and the like.

From the previous thread:
I'm a charity case as we as an aid worker, so right now it's skater shoes, white tee shirts and work jeans, all donated.
Never, never be afraid to do what's right, especially if the well-being of a person is at stake. Society's punishments are small compared to the wounds we inflict on our soul when we look the other way.
We have nothing to lose but the world. We have our souls to gain.

That is all i ever wear, presume what you will about my fashion sense I really don't know how other people feel about it honestly for I am a pretty solid loner at this point in my life.

I usually don't bother to get out of my school's dress code, so khakis & polo shirt with undershirt. As far as shoes go, I just wear loafers.

When I go to school or in public, I wear brightly colored hoodies, t-shirts, tight (but not skinny) jeans, vans shoes, cute pony socks, sometimes I wear my hoodie as a scarf... stuff like that...

At home I wear whatever happens to be there at the time, usually shirts that are multiple sizes too big and pajama pants :D

I buy a lot of clothes from ASOS, H&M, and PacSun, to give you an idea. I feel like I usually wear mostly dark colors, but some days I'll dress more colorful-ly. Right now I'm wearing a salmon-colored casual button up, skinny-ish blue jeans, and some brown leather lace-up shoes.

Great, this thread is sure to turn into a dick measuring competition of "Well I spent $50 000 000 on this," and so on... :eyebrow:

Anyway. I wear whatever suits my taste on certain days. I can be in a shirt and tie one day and jeans and t-shirt with chain the next.

I am currently wearing a plaid button up, blue skinny jeans, a knit sweater, and a scarf.

For most of my school years I had a uniform, and outside I just wore the standard old jean + shirt combo.

However, I've been able to adopt my own style often involving suits(prefer 3-piece), bowties and even an ascot or two. Yep...I wear ascots and they look damn nice. I like a sort of traditional class style, traditional being late 18th-early 19th century style. Don't know why but I just really like it and I find that it looks really good on me.

It can be a bit expensive though so my wardrobe is currently limited. A college student only has so much money to spend.

EDIT:As for colors, I often stick to neutral dark colors. If I want something not along a monochromatic line, I do so with a polo or sweater.

For me, khaki trousers and various colors of button-down shirts with t-shirts underneath, it's upscale casual everyday, and like to wear dressy and formal clothes. I always have on a flat cap or a fedora, I like hats. My winter coat is a black peacoat with a plaid scarf.
