Means of transportation. It deconstructs your being and reconstructs you at the desired location.

Seems faster.

I hate transporters. I always end up wondering if the person at the other end is really the person that was transported, instead of a copy which has the same thoughts, feelings, and memories, but a different consciousness experiencing those things.

God damn you Thomas Riker.

And at that rate, Cars and the Incredibles are on the bubble. They were barely included on the list of animated Disney movies that could be watched by my unborn future kids.

Incredibles wasn't horrible. I'm ok with cars being excluded.

Isn't a person defined by their thoughts, feelings, and memories? If you have the same thoughts, wouldn't you still require the same consciousness?

3D animated films have their own kind of charm, but it's nothing compared to classical animation. It just doesn't compare.

Hence why I cursed Thomas Riker; what if a transporter accident caused two copies to be created? Transportation is converting matter to energy, then back into matter. The particles you start with aren't the same as the ones you end up with.

Given two completely identical individuals, down to the molecular level, who is the original? You can only conclude that neither is.

Nothing is fantasia. Incredibles at least made a partial effort to get the 50's retro look right.

On the other hand, I'd class their storytelling as better. I don't feel the urge to cry to Mulan or Snow White. Up and Toy Story, however? Gone, utter blubbing wreck.

I've yet to see Up, but I keep meaning to. I agree with you that the story makes the film, and can even compensate where art direction is lacking. This is a perfect example of story and graphical direction complementing each other, and it's still one of my favourite Disney animated shorts.

Edit: video is broken, this one works. It's damn hard to find it in HD now.

The two toy stories were movies I didn't mind the kids watching every freaking day.

He was brilliant. The only thing that could have made it better, (and it's disney, they wouldnt) would have been an anti-Semitic remark.

Which would be silly, since Arabs are Semitic as well. There are Semites all over the place in the Middle East!
