I've realized that I sometimes need to have the courage to own and articulate my opinions where I've just been staying quiet when they might not be liked to try and be popular.

Ah, Mrs. Hagarty is somebody I look up to in the running community, she is a local from the next town over and we end up running at a lot of the same races. She is in her early nineties now I believe. She is the world record holder for the oldest woman to run a marathon on all of the seven continents. She started running when she was seventy something so that she would stop smoking. She got herself addicted to running instead of being addicted to cigarettes. She most recently ran in the NYC Marathon, which she claims to be her final marathon, but that same claim was made by her in 2009, so we'll see what happens.

Sounds a lot like the mrs Hagerty I knew, but that is awesome. A cousin of mine who is a runner, is in the best health of all the cousins.
