As I said earlier, atheists do not operate like an organized religion. We come from many different backgrounds and hold many different beliefs. Yes, I am aware that communism does emphasize the uniting and collectivization of the people but still...that is what they murdered innocent people for.

I should note the while Christianity is not blameless, atheism has produced some of the very worst murderers of all time. Like, Hitler, Stalin, Zedong and Pol Pot, together responsible for the deaths of 400-500 million people.

Bottom line: people have different views. Spewing crap and vitriol only serves to divide people. If people could put aside differences and love people for who they are, not for what they believe, this planet could truly be a place of tolerance and peace.

I am appalled by this, and I am not even atheist

some people are atheist because that is just what they have been brought up to believe, also most of them have morals of which come from the law of the nation they live in. Also if it was not for atheism Secularism, Women and Black people would still be treated like dirt.
Also most religions are just folk explanations of how things work, all cultures had them. even so called ''savages'' had a religious explanation of the world told through stories. How would you like it if your religion was banned Freedom of religion also means you don't have to worship at all.

A question for the OP;

What if it is you whose mind is clouded, thus believing Atheists are the ones who have clouded minds, and you simply cannot see the "truth" until your mind becomes unclouded? This is the great thing about circularly logical arguments. They hold no merit, as one simply has to switch the subject to find the exact antipode. Such arguments are self-defeating.

A ban on atheism is as bad, if not worse, than a ban on religion. So you wish an end to freedom of thought? Critical thinking? You support blindly following doctrine, from faith alone? I imagine you think this world will be a better place, except that, in a world where Atheism no longer exists, all we have is religion, its followers blindly following its doctrine with no critical thought.

How many religions ask us to kill the worshipers of other religions in the name of God? Christianity is no different. So what do you suggest? We kill one another until one religion remains victorious?
