In the POD, Reagan's policies hinder the USA and leads to an economic collapse of the US. California, Hawaii, the CSA and Texas succeed from the US, North Korea unites with South Korea, East Germany unites with West Germany. The only capitalist bastions left in the world is in Great Britain, Afghanistan, India, Japan and Ireland. Japan and Great Britain have severe embargoes put against them.
What would your life be like in post cold war if USSR won?
I would already graduated from University and I would be a secondary school teacher, teaching kids Marxist-Leninism.

Secondly, Maggie Thatcher now becomes leader of the free world by default.
Finally, why would the South Secede as the CSA? This makes no sense whatsoever.

Japan...well they're fairly screwed either way.
And Ireland, well other than being ungovernable in Ulster, the Republic would be in shambles economically.

I'm going off when the USSR collapsed a lot of nations splintered off from, I imagine the same thing would happen with the USA.Albion Rhodesia wrote:Also, is the Soviet Union still involved in Afghanistan or have they withdrawn?

They withdrew but resumed in 2001 with the bombing of Moscow.

Reagan's policies are debatable, but to suggest that they would cause the world's largest economy at the time to implode entirely, triggering a total collapse of the country, is nothing short of absurd.
Why did he even get elected in this hypothetical timeline, anyway? Because you would have been better off suggesting one with Carter Peanuts.

What? You can't expect USA to collapse. When Soviet Union collapsed then countries occupied by Soviet Union left.

He does more radical libertarian things e.g. remove minimum wage, flat income tax. The point of the thread is not about the collapse itself but what your life be like if the USSR won?Teemant wrote:

The US could of colapsed if they stay in Nam.
