Yeah that it explains the how of love, but it doesn't explain the why. Why this or that, or why love is even a thing. Love is the most counter intuitive part of the human psyche.

I have not met an Atheist who says all fetuses should be aborted, I see certain case situations where it might save the life of the mother or prevent the fetus from having complications later on in life. Abortion will happen one of two ways; The woman self harms herself to terminate the pregnancy or there is the SAFE way of terminating the pregnancy. What Pro-Choice supporters want is for a safe alternative. Is it questionable? Sure. So is not allowing the choice.
I personally am an Agnostic Atheist with influence from Asian ways of life/religions and Humanist Judaism (It's a branch of Reform Judaism)

More progressive ideas to blame? Not likely. Things fell apart after our unions got busted by a swarm of locusts management sent at us. Not to progressive there. I was atheist for about half of my life and I was anti-abortion the whole time (11 yrs). I'm actually less restrictive in my views of abortion now than that I'm theist then when I was atheist.
