The moderate, secular Republicans that are respectable members of the GOP (such as Neel Kashkari (CA), Rob Portman (OH), and Charlie Dent (PA) for example) are too little in numbers and are often overshadowed by the extreme far-right social conservatives (which, from a Jewish perspective, wanted to create a North American Russia or Iran) who believe Christian-based laws should dominate other religions but cry about religious freedom when the Federal Government declares that it is unconstitutional to ban Gay Marriage that comes with the same tax benefits as married heterosexual couples (which is why the 'Civil Union' argument is flawed). They're also infamous for caring more about owning guns than making education more affordable to the poorer Americans which is rather hilarious considering Jerry Brown (D-CA) isn't very student-friendly either. Another trend is that the conservatives are infamous for losing and then joining the liberals once a social movement claimed victory (Civil Rights Movement, Women Suffrage, Abolition of Slavery, and now the Gay Marriage movement). I do not think the Democrats are innocent at all, at least in California, they have Jerry Brown who is the arch enemy of all college students trying very hard just to succeed in life.

Mind you, I do not hate the Republican Party, nor am I a Democrat. This is, at least, an opinion of an observation.
And with that, I shall go back to crying that Neel Kashkari lost the election.

I agree with Republicans on some Foreign Policy + Econ + domestic but my god their opinions on social issues like LGBT + Abortion are so backward it's horrifying. Not all republicans are extremely backward as some stereotypes hold but the Tea Party is like the bane of American politics. Simply in my opinion Republican extremists >> Democratic extremists.

No, no.
Not self explanatory at all.
While trickle-down is a load of absolute bullshit... you understand it benefited wealthiest who do in fact have employment(no matter how self fulling and exceptionally unproductive it might be) and that they didnt want to receive the trickle-down they wanted to be the ones trickling as it were.

Yes, it is self-explanatory. Republicans are lazy welfare queens. Most of them do not work and when asked to pay taxes they believe their lazy ass is above the law and assault law enforcement because Cliven Bundy is a squatter. But when blacks do it because Wilson wanted to feel tough and murder someone they quickly bash tjay because assaulting cops is wrong if you actually pay taxes unlike welfare queen Bundy and the Republican lazies

That depends on the individual Republican. Some wouldn't care, some think they "should get a job", and some actually tackle the issue.

You agree with GOP foreign policy?? You mean the one that supported a military intervention against Russia in the Crimea, and wanted to maintain sanctions on Iran even as Hassan Rouhani gave in to most US demands?? As for the abortion and LGBT rights issue, completely agreed, the GOP is living in a different century on those issues and need to catch up with the civilised world.

I don't hate republicans so much as what they say and believe. Same thing with democrats. *GASP* You can dislike both Republicans AND Democrats? Why yes, because I find both to be messing over America in the worst of ways, but also because I'm from a country where more than 2 parties can get seats in our legislature (Canada)! That said, I don't like pretty much any party that exists because none of them follow along with my personal beliefs. Anyways, that's another kettle of fish, but I don't like what Republicans often say because it's intellectually deficient, ideology fueled non-sense. I mean I'm sorry, but if keeping corporate taxes was going to improve the national economy in any kind of a significant way, there wouldn't be so many people working more than 1 job just to scrape by in life. I mean at least Canadian and British Conservatives have some respect for social services a lot of the time, but it looks like a lot of Republicans would throw that out the window along with corporate taxes if they could.

I don't hate all republicans. In fact, my main issue is with the party itself. An outdated institution that continues to breed hate against foreigners, immigrants and secularism. Most leaders are unreasonable jackasses who, when they open their pie holes, I doubt of their education. As in, I don't think they had any. Many of their positions are ignorant hogwash.

As for individual republicans, no, I don't hate them.

Because many of them are anti-science loonies (creationists, global heating deniers, ...) ? Because many of them are homophobic, racist and/or misogynist ? Because they oppose fundamental rights such as universal healthcare ? Because they behave as morons, going as far as shutting down their government rather than working out a compromise ?

The creationism seems like a small thing to hate them for. Everything else makes sense, though I do question how prominent it actually is vs. how prominent we assume it is. That said, I primarily hate the GOP for the fact that they won't even consider putting a leash on corporations, allow poverty to run rampant, and when people commit crimes they immediately blame it on the individual, as opposed to the fact the individual is living at or below the poverty line (courtesy of the GOP). I say this is my primary reason (for the record) because racism, homophobia, and misogyny don't necessarily represent the party as a whole, but their uber-pro-corporation policies pretty much do.

So $8 an hour is "what you earned"? Tell me, why can a corporation (or the politicians they've bought) set prices for goods and services they provide, and that's deemed to be "just business", but when a worker (or workers) try to set a price on the goods and services they provide, that's "communism", that's "socialism", that's "laziness", that's "theft", that's "fascism", that's them "asking for more than what they deserve"?

Also, your policies don't threaten their ability to commit sexual deviancy, it threatens their ability to do it without discrimination, hence why there's such an uproar when it turns out one of your own GOP members was caught cross dressing on weekends.

I have a theory; that a country works better when everyone's standard of living is better. This isn't possible until their are jobs available to everyone (which you have shipped to other countries) wages they can live on (which you refuse to recognize is more than $8 an hour), and they have access to the basic needs that will allow them to maintain decent lives and strive to improve their own lives (through education and healthcare, which you refuse to provide for them without putting them further in poverty which they cannot get out of because they cannot get a job that get's them out of debt). In other words, we dislike Republicans because they designed a system that forces the poor to stay poor, not a system that encourages job and wealth creation.

It has more to do with your extreme laziness, your extreme obstruction that resembles the tantrums of a petulant child more than legislative work (your fault, btw), your unwillingness to accept factual information, your use of faulty Nazi research to support your anti-choice position, your blatant hypocrisy of accusing others of being Nazis, your disgusting tendency to pretend that the victims of Nazism are the new Nazis, your willingness to engage in unethical experiments with children for the sake of reducing the burden on the poison and chemical industries, how you've begun to resemble cartoon villains when it comes to the environment (seriously, Ann Coulter wouldn't even need to act to play Dr. Blight), your atrocious treatment of pregnant women despite claiming to be "pro-life", and opposition to making the world a better place for the disabled on entirely fictional grounds.

And that's really just the tip of the shitberg.

It would be a bit foolish to condemn the entirety of the Daily Beast based only on Santorum's opinion piece. While the opinion definitely is utter trash, it's not representative of the Daily Beast and Santorum's position as a figurehead of the Republican side of that "debate" is sufficient justification for the Daily Beast to publish it.

"Take Fascism and remove the racism, ultra-nationalism, oppression, murder, and replace these things with proper civil rights and freedoms and what do you get? Us, a much stronger and more free nation than most."
"Tell me, is it still a 'revolution' or 'liberation' when you are killing our men, women, and children in front of us for not allowing themselves to be 'saved' by you? Call Communism and Democracy whatever you want, but to our people they're both the same thing; Oppression."
"You say manifest destiny, I say act of war. You're free to disagree with me, but I tend to make my arguments with a gun."
Since everyone does one of these: Impeach Democracy, Legalize Monarchy, Incompetent leadership is theft.
