Hey, hey, hey... The South stayed in the South, it was the Union that came down here, surrounding Fort Sumter. They could have easily taken it back. It was a military strategy and also a political one (albeit a pretty smart one) to just wait and force Fort Sumter to fire first.

What the hell are you even talking about?

Meh. California's drinking culture isn't all that great. It's a bunch of pseudo-European middle-aged people visiting wineries, a bunch of drunk Mexicans drinking shitty imported beer, and a bunch of drunk Americans drinking shitty domestic beer. Oh, and the hipsters who smugly drink from their microbreweries, which I'll admit, are pretty good.

The drinking culture of Donald Draper. Nothing wrong with suits, hard liquor, and a little inappropriate touchy-touchy in the office. :p

In all seriousness, I'm split down the middle between the newer, hipster one and the larger, American one.

I drink the microbrewed beers but I desperately search for any American drinking songs and traditional drinking etiquette this country may have had.

Eh, I dunno.

Dos Equis with a wedge of lemon and some salt in tastes pretty good.

So this mean whenever I call a Northerner a "dirty alcoholic pig," I'm actually entirely justified?

The South always struck me as a beer-and-whiskey kinda place. I'm from Illinois, which gets a good influx of Southern folks and people from elsewhere. Most of the people I know from around here to drink liquor instead. Vodka and rum are the most common.

Drinking is never a solution, it's a temporary get away from the real issues. IMHO.

Which was also threatened by Saddam. Iraq invaded Saudi from Southern Kuwait.
