Your Political Compass results.

Postby No Names Left Damn It » Sat Jun 20, 2009 2:23 pm

Post them here, discuss the thread, whether your results were surprising, whether you view them as accurate, what you thought of the questions etc.
Here's the link: www.politicalcompass.org

I just retook the test:

Economic Left/Right: 0.50
Social Libertarian/Authoritarian: 0.87

I'm transforming slowly into David Cameron. *Shudders*

How funny, I happened to take that test earlier today out or boredom.

Economic Left/Right: -6.38
Social Libertarian/Authoritarian: 1.95

EDIT: Pretty much it's saying I'm near communistic and learns a little towards fascism.

EDIT2: Yay, now with picture:

Also, what political party do you mainly identify with, and how many of their policies match your ideologies?

I also just retook the test, with the following results:

Economic Left/Right: -5.00
Social Libertarian/Authoritarian: -4.62

The results of the previous time I took the test are below. Almost identical, as you can see. These results are not surprising, I've always been aware of me being a bleeding-heart pinko liberal.

What were you saying about being near the libertarian socialists?

I'm -10,-9.54, as I recall. Which would put me firmly in the anarcho-communist camp, which is where I identify as.

First, a disclaimer: some of these questions (if not all) can be interpreted and answered in different ways. Also, I did the test quickly, and could easily flip flop on a lot of these.

However, for what little its worth, my results are Economic Left/Right: -3.50, Social Libertarian/Authoritaria: -6.92. Deep inside Left/Libertarian territory (though more slightly left of centre economically).

"Our progress in degeneracy appears to me to be pretty rapid. As a nation, we began by declaring that "all men are created equal." We now practically read it "all men are created equal, except negroes" When the Know-Nothings get control, it will read "all men are created equal, except negroes, and foreigners, and Catholics." When it comes to this I should prefer emigrating to some country where they make no pretence of loving liberty -- to Russia, for instance, where despotism can be taken pure, and without the base alloy of hypocracy." - President Abraham Lincoln.

You're all fucking communists so far lol. I'm quite surprised, as the new forum seems more rightwing than the Liberal circlejerk that was Jolt NSG.

You know, I've tried to take the test to get those results, and I can't do it. I've clicked all the boxes that I thought would get me there, but I still couldn't manage it.

Yeah, but not by much. I'm not overly surprised though, since I notice that the majority of the internet seems to be liberal unless you're at an obvious right-winged forum.

EDIT: Brutanion, we stain much after our fascist commie parties! *runs off to fix a stupid typo*

One of the posters on the old forums (Ermarian) set up a poll and worked out the average of NSG's political compass scores. Ey got about 100 responses overall, of which the number more authoritarian than libertarian was single-digit. Final averages were something like -4, -4.5 or so.

No Names Left Damn It wrote:You're all fucking communists so far lol. I'm quite surprised, as the new forum seems more rightwing than the Liberal circlejerk that was Jolt NSG.

We've had very few of the new members on this thread so far -- most of the responses have been by relatively old-timey NSGers. No Parthenon, no Robustian, no Robarya, no Gray's Harbour, no Kalashnikov, etc (to pick but a few examples of new right-wingers).

No Names Left Damn It wrote:You know, I've tried to take the test to get those results, and I can't do it. I've clicked all the boxes that I thought would get me there, but I still couldn't manage it.

I'm just intrigued about where I lost the 0.06 on the libertarian axis. I want the perfect bottom left corner, dammit!
