Well, those are some of the outer features I'd like. As for personality, she'd have to be smart, and strong, someone I can have long, intelligent conversations with. She'd have to love kids, like love dogs, and we'd have to have similar outlooks on life. I'd also like it if she were artsy, especially if she were into music. She'd also have to be Christian, that's probably the biggest thing (I guess that ties in with the whole "outlook on life" requirement).

This might seem weird to add, but I'd prefer it if she weren't as nerdy as me. Most girls I spent time with who are nerdy like me I don't see me ever getting into a romantic relationship with them, and I have thought about it before. I'm not sure why, but it's almost a turn-off for me.

I agree my original post at the start of this conversation about abuse did play into that double standard. It's not just men who commit spousal abuse, nor necessarily do they even commit the majority of it. I was talking about abuse though, not self defense. That's a different situation although if partners are coming to the point where it needs to be analysed which one of them was acting in self defense for say legal purposes I'd say the Marriage should probably be allowed to end, call me a quitter if you like I'm just pessimistic like that.
