Didn't you claim to be from Northern Ireland at some point?

I don't know if you're referring to me but in case you are I've never claimed to be Northern Irish; in fact I've been quite open about living in London and being of Basque-Spanish descent.

She. Fionnuala is a woman. From Derry.

While you perhaps can't be blamed for not knowing that she's from Derry (it is, after all, surprising that someone from that neck of the woods can use a computer), the fact that she's a woman should have been immediately obvious from her name.

Met any men named Fionnuala lately?

Fionnuala seems pretty Irish (and mythological) to me so I'm guessing you want me to replace seems to is. And of course he to she.

Yep, ignorant English. Should have known.

Don't try to pretend you already knew after reading Nadkors post.

I just assumed she used Fionnuala as some sort of symbolism to represent Ireland and Saoirse to say she wanted Ireland to be free.

The fact that you're a woman I didn't know but I did see the statue The Garden of Remembrance in Dublin although I doubt you'll believe because an Englishman couldn't possibly visit the Garden of Remembrance in Dublin.

I went to a Buddhist temple once in Thailand. It was pretty. I didn't have a fucking clue what anything was about though.

I never claimed to be able to recite every Irish legend there is; I just said I'm not an ignorant bastard.

I never claimed to be a connoisseur (I need to use those words to prove I'm not ignorant, right?) of Irish mythology is what I meant to say.

As I've said previously; whether you consider me to be ignorant is up to you. Your opinion will have no impact whatsoever on me nor will it make me leave NationStates.

I am and quite frankly I have the idea that I'm a connoisseur (I know it sounds pretentious) of the world and better than the majority of compatriots and therefore I try to combat any allegations/accusations of ignorance put forth against me.

Look, I get it - being drunk makes NS seem almost bearable. Almost. The vast majority of my posts over the last decade were made while incoherently drunk. From experience, NS seems basically okay when you can't tell whether you've been asleep for an hour or you just can't remember what's happened.

But it's just not working out for you tonight. Try again tomorrow, eh?
