Indeed. There's nothing more exciting than burly men knocking at my door to collect their money.

It's one of the biggest growth sectors out there. Distrust in the government isn't helpful when it's unwarranted, research is ongoing. Subsidies helping what we currently have on hand isn't harmful at all.
Yeah, the green private sector is growing, and that is encouragable. The public sector is my gripe, not the private sector. Subsidies are only helpful if the current technology (wind, solar) is able to become self sufficient. I'm just skeptical of that, that's all. What the government says on green energy doesn't always reflect the facts.
The UK uses a very interesting system to trade in renewable energy obligations (ROCs), but the price the government says renewable energy is worth is inflated, and the energy companies that fail to hit renewable energy obligations pass the shortfall onto its customers, so it doesn't matter what tariff you're on. Green or not. You still pay that. It makes for very interesting reading, but it's sort of akin to trying to understand what banks do with our money. Magic and wizardry.

I'm v. drunk, I'm withdrawing. Expect to be tackled again tomorrow through TG.

All that remains is to show that biological systems replicate in such a way as to satisfy the minimal criteria required for evolution to apply to them, something which has already been adequately shown time and again. At this point, we've pretty much proven that not only can evolution happen, it pretty much must happen since it's basically impossible to prevent it from happening.

League one and two footballers don't make a terrible lot. Granted no one cares about them combines as much as the championship, and those three leagues combined probably have one fifth of the viewers the PL has.

Basic laws of supply and demand. There are very few people who are skilled enough to perform the way that professional athletes do, so they get paid more.
People who say "giv soldures futbahllers wayjizz and giv futbahllers soldures wayjizz" irritate me because they literally have no idea how economics or money works, apparently.

Socialists don't need to know. And I know how supply and demand work, I just think it's stupid that won't even try to spend money on education or others who need help
