Let me reiterate what others have said; 9/11 was nine years ago. The government was not involved, they arrested the people responsible and we've started two wars over it. Please, let it go.

The only theory I'd accept is that after the '93 bombings, realising that a collapse of the towers could have greater consequences than just the towers themselves, as in falling sideways, that they placed controlled explosions in event of serious likelihood of collapse, to ensure damage was minimised to the towers only.

Alas, this annoys conspiracy theorists because they want to believe the government works for evil MUAH-HA-HA purposes only and this both accepts that the planes were nothing to do with the government, nor was the event of the collapse itself, but purely a measure to protect citizens.

It hurts them, so while I don't believe it, whenever I find myself in one of these useless conversations I bring it up because it's a bit more logical than anything they care to propose.

^ This. While I'm more than willing to think Bush and co loved the opportunities it gave them as an after effect I don't think it's credible that they would have been able to or inclined to carry out 9/11. Truthers are tinfoil hat troopers.

It didn't happen, you know what hapopend on 9/11/01? 3,000 people were killed, I really don't see why someone would think that the government would do this, becuase it has caused more problems than good, I don't care what a few think they saw, 3,000 died, al Queda took responsiblity, and did it, if the gov. did it, than why did al queda say they did it? Why would the U.S. have to gain from Afghenistan? The conspiracy theorists are just looking for a new frontier.
