So, you're never bothered by anything at all?

Or, if you do get annoyed by stuff, are you saying you choose to get annoyed and stressed out?

If you never get annoyed at all, I would be very surprised. If you do get annoyed, you are either not choosing to do so (in which case you aren't really contolling your emotions), or you are. If you are choosing to be annoyed, why would you do so?

Ironically, the denial in this thread is driven by emotion.
I hear babies cry, I watch them grow
They'll learn much more than I'll ever know
And I think to myself, what a wonderful world

Emotions are just part of human nature; we may as well be honest and say they are part of our biological destiny.

Women's brains have neural connections between the feeling/emotional section and the logic/speech section, while men's connections are weak. But just because you can't talk easily about something does not mean it isn't there.

I choose to not change it unless nessisary. I feel it makes me human to have things that bother me.

Logic is also more or less driven by emotion. After all, it's generally based around doing what will bring the greatest happiness to the greatest number. So that's not very surprising.

Also unsurprising is the number of people who insist that they don't have emotions, or that emotions don't affect them in any way -- denials they make in a rather emotional fashion. After all, a desire to become a being of pure reason is still desire.

When you say that you choose not to change it, are you discussing your being bothered, or the cause thereof? Do you mean that you are choosing to be bothered instead of choosing to change your emotional state from bothered to not-bothered?

Well, I don't set what I feel, I set what makes me feel. But yes, I mean the latter... kinda... I explained why not fully.

To help me relate and understand people. I have enough problems with that as-is, I don't need to add any more myself.

Okay. Now I'm going to stop asking questions and point out that the last few posts of yours have been a whole series of desires or wants, i.e. emotional drives.

Well, I partially agree with those who say logic is more important. Its certainly what should be used to make any major decisions. However, I've found that life is far more enjoyable when you let your emotions take charge. So I basically do that, and just leave the logical part of my mind in the background, unless its starts telling me that I really don't want to do what I'm about to do or if there's an important decision coming up. So basically, I believe that reason is more important, but emotion has far more effect on my life. Figures.
