The relevant Prosecutor in the Netherlands has issued that it's not illegal for biker gangs from the Netherlands to go join up with the Kurds against ISIS.

Apparently a Netherlands citizen can join a foreign army as long as they don't fight the Netherlands.

So, ISIS, prepare for a horde of pot-smoking whore-mongering motherfuckers to come over the hill.

The tide has turned, surrender now.

TOPIC OF DISCUSSION: How bad is ISIS for everyone that even the authorities in the Netherlands issue a statement basically saying that have no problem with their biker gangs going over their and start killing them.

Do you agree with the policy?

I do. The Kurds came over the ridge at Dawn like Gandalf to rescue the Yezidis or whoever was getting genocidified. Adding biker gangs to this is very CyberPunk 2013, so whip it out boys, it's a Friday Night Firefight.

This, in my opinion, may be effective, while being totally hilarious. Gang members tend to already know some of the basics in using weapons, so they have a head start. Train them in teamwork and efficiency, and they'd do well. The only thing that worries me is that if they came back to their country...

Right.

I've heard they're mainly interested in making sure they can sell drugs there. Though, my source is a commenter on a Netherlands news site, so feel free to ignore that.

I'm pretty apathic when it comes to this... I suppose it's better than Netherlanders going to fight for ISIL/ISIS/IS/I/ .

I don't like how we're simply ignoring a part of our law, which says Netherlanders who fight for foreign powers lose their Netherlands citizenship, however.

Well, for a while, we were so desperate for troops, the army was taking gang-bangers.

Since most countries allow their citizens to volunteer to serve in other nations' armies -- Americans famously did before the US entered the World Wars -- I can't see the harm in it. With luck, the Dutch biker gangs will give their last full measure of devotion in Iraq or Syria, simultaneously reducing terrorism and crime in the Netherlands.

It's not implausible they're looking out for drug interests, since from the very very limited interaction with guys who make 1%ers look like 1970 Honda's riders (You Meet the Nicest People on a Honda! Trademark!) also seem to be always looking out for drug interests, even when they're at the laundromat. I guess mobile tribally organized violent people gravitate towards trafficking.

If that's the real motivation, but the end result is some weird wave of global biker-gang volunteers, and instead of just three guys now it's 750 from Sao Palo to Anchorage, San Francisco to Berlin, then boom, baby, that would be hilarious.

ISIS is spooking a lot of people.

This is also like killing two birds with one stone; the bikers aren't in the country anymore causing trouble, and plenty of them can be killed at the same time maybe killing a few ISIS members.
