It feels like nation-building is dead in this country. Neither side, it seems, has any real long-term vision or direction for Australia ('cept part of Labor under Gillard/Rudd, what with the NBN and all) other than sell everything we own then pork-barrel like crazy, desperate to win the next election.

The current Prime Minister is particularly rubbish, but Shorten really isn't that much better a choice IMO.
