Eh, it's okay. Of the songs that were in the plebiscite way back, I like the tune of Song of Australia, the lyrics of Advance Australia Fair, and the general feel of Waltzing Matilda. God Save the Queen is just dull all around.

"A Flag of our Own" should be our anthem. A song that is patriotic, has a clear story, and raises the ire of the Monarchists, my kind of album.

But then again, I'm a Republican (not the American version!) so I would say that.

Hey! I like my Queen's Long Weekend. Leave that alone. Although I don't think of highly of British Imperialism/Colonialism I think remaining in the Commonwealth/keeping status quo is a positive thing.

Exactly - some petty bragging right is not going to save them for the next election. Atleast with a change in leadership there is a possibility of winning the federal election.
