The fact that you can casually toss smoking, drinking, religion, and conservatism into a single bin branded "TOUCH NOT: DOES NOT GOOD MAKE" is both amusingly and appallingly ignorant, but that's for a different thread.

The fact that you can let these things ruin society is disturbing. Death comes out of all of them.

Hey, you made the nonsensical claim, but if you'd like to get back to the actual topic, then by all means.

What is so special about you that your desire to end drinking should be more important than the right of everyone else to make their own decisions about what to put into their bodies?

Because people aren't smart, so the government needs to step in to help.

Further evidencing the extent of your ignorance. I am not a proponent of alcohol, and as I have stated I do not believe that it is healthy. I also don't believe that we should sit back and let these things happen. However, I am also a realist, and your propositions hail from absurdity.

Bankrupting a government in a massive project to install security cameras everywhere, even inside your neighbors dog along with hiring more police just to catch people drinking, selling and brewing alcohol sounds like a good idea to me. I don't see how anything can go wrong with it at all.

That's clearly not true.

You want to force your own desires on others.

Desiring such a strict obedience to supposed authority at the expense of freedom is, by definition, authoritarian.

At least own up to your position

Prohibitions and banning religion are symptoms of authoritarianism.

So is outlawing murder by the provided definition.

No, since most people have credit cards, bills, and etc., we can monitor them easily.

Murder isn't just banned by laws, it's banned by common sense.

Besides, the second part of the definition refers to restricting freedoms. Murder is banned because it hurts people and restricts freedoms. You want to ban alcohol even though this restricts freedoms and does not necessarily help people.

But don't ya know? Alcohol is bad, and will always cause destruction and sorrow for all who partake in even the daintiest of sips.
