1. Before beefing introduce to the European and Asians, fights were rare and not bloody. In most places to kill was a severe crime in battle. In Southern Africa those doing war looked to see who could throw the spear farther. The goal was to settle conflict without killing.

2. Real bloody and continuous conflict did not appear in most history until the 1500's when the Islamic Empire and the Portuguese came.
- The Islamic Empire killed many in battles to get converts
- The Portuguese asked for slaves and cause us, the Africans, to attack each other for profit that had not excised before

Are you really that unfamiliar with the history of the Tuaregs, the Ethiopians, the Somalians; Axum, Mali, Borno... Jesus, there are plenty of examples of brutal and bloody battle in Africa before the 16th century. And you really blame this on the Portugeuse? The early slave trade was a relatively minor affair. Shit, the Portugeuse assisted Ethiopia in fighting Muslim invaders. This is more the fault of European colonizers as a whole.

Also, there is no 'Islamic Empire'. There are a number of Islamic states that fought with African kingdoms in the 16th century, but many of those African kingdoms were, themselves, Muslim.

3. None of the Africa conflicts were Nearly as bloody as the conflicts in Europe.
