Sailors may have been the first to suggest it, by observing the different horizons one could see depending on if they were in the crows nest or not, but it would be a stretch to say sailors "discovered" the Earth was round.

I agree, I phrased what I said incorrectly, i'll re-phrase it.

Sailors played a somewhat major role in the discovery of the Earth being round.

The sailors only confirmed what the bible said to be true

New DeCapito wrote:"11 Then God said, “Let the land produce vegetation: seed-bearing plants and trees on the land that bear fruit with seed in it, according to their various kinds.” And it was so. 12 The land produced vegetation: plants bearing seed according to their kinds and trees bearing fruit with seed in it according to their kinds. And God saw that it was good. 13 And there was evening, and there was morning—the third day.

14 And God said, “Let there be lights in the vault of the sky to separate the day from the night, and let them serve as signs to mark sacred times, and days and years, 15 and let them be lights in the vault of the sky to give light on the earth.” And it was so. 16 God made two great lights—the greater light to govern the day and the lesser light to govern the night. He also made the stars. 17 God set them in the vault of the sky to give light on the earth, 18 to govern the day and the night, and to separate light from darkness. And God saw that it was good. 19 And there was evening, and there was morning—the fourth day."

Third day, fourth day. Merely day and night was created on the second day.

What bible did you get that from?

Most likely the same one you use.

Can you provide proof please? How do you know the only people back then that thought the Earth was round were Christians? If I re-call when Christopher Columbus was still alive and people still believed the non sense that the earth was flat he spoke to Spain's king and qeen at that time which 8/10 were religious people and they thought the earth was flat and not round.

That's a myth, they didn't agree on how big the earth was -- and Christopher was wrong.

Christopher was wrong, considering he was trying to get to India. I will check where in the bible it says that the earth is round

Humans are animals first and for most. Humans actually share a lot of things with apes and some other animals as well. I choose to see the reason we have these similarities in us between these animals is because in the begging of time we all evolved from one common ancestor.

The torah came before the bible. The bible is based on the torah, thus it is still relevant. Did you ignore the second citations?
