Oh I see, just curious, which medical university did you graduate from and how long have you studied the threat of this strain of Ebola to other countries? Because unless you are credible yourself, I will not take your word for it.

The virus poses nearly no threat to the developed world. Of course it will affect a large web of nations, but it's hardly a threat to western nations. And your source does not support the idea that it's a threat to the west.

It seems to have been simply a misunderstanding, in any case. It's certainly a significant threat to Africa and other developing areas.

It could threaten the stability of them given the fact that it has horrifying symptoms, but I think nations overreacting is better than them ignoring Ebola.

No, not really. Before the advent of vaccines there were diseases with symptoms just as bad or worse, and child mortality was much higher, and the state functioned fine.

However of course an overreaction is better, just not an irrational overreaction. And there is a middle ground between overreaction and underreaction.

There's a difference between the two. Avian Flu and H1N1 were both, being strains of influenza, highly contagious. While the actual risk of death from any individual case of influenza is low, the risk of infection is fairly high. Obviously the more people that can get sick, the more people that can die. This is why Ebola is really not anything to worry about. The fact that the means of Ebola transmission are not particularly effective, combined with its high mortality rate, means that it is much less likely to widely spread and is more susceptible to burn out that influenza. The real threat that I've seen, particularly here in the states, is panic and the voices that spread it. The American news media has been incredibly irresponsible with their coverage, dipping down into levels of sensationalism completely unbecoming of legitimate journalists.

The fact that WHO says something does not inherently make it true. WHO is a wonderful organization, but that does not preclude them from being wrong. Ebola is poorly transmitted and highly lethal to the infected, not a good mix for widespread infection.

I had a brother who is a doctor, and I kept his medical books and have read them on this whole EBola thing as well as read upon internet journals myself.

It is pretty obvious that Ebola isn't a large threat to the developed world. We actually have advanced medicine. The developing world has a small chance of it being a threat, but of people take precautions they won't get it.

Basically, Ebola is as infectious as AIDS and more lethal than that, so there's no reasonable need to worry.

Did she follow guidelines and washed her hands after touching the patient?

It's not enough to just go "oh well Ebola will never kill us if we never wash our hands" and such. If you're stupid enough to not take all precautions when dealing with an Ebola patient you sorta got it because of negligence.

Due to a breach of the protocol.
Meaning that at some point, there was a way of being infected. If you are in full protective gear at all times, you won't get infected.

During the age of the Signorie, house Cavrianesi took over the duchy of Mantua. While following in the footsteps of the Gonzagas, the new dinasty seeked protection not only in diplomacy, but also in expansion. In a small-scale cold war between the regional powers, a compromise had been reached: The League of Alto Mantovano. A highly federalized union between the italian states, with Alto Mantovano as a Leader.

Please provide examples of how journalists have presented more of a threat than ebola has? Ebola has killed thousands of people. Given your sensationalist language about journalists I'm going to assume that journalists have killed, say 40,000? But you tell me the real number.

How many people have died from these journalists being "sensationalist"?
