Unless you have ebola, then yeah, I'm gonna leave you.

If someone has ebola then that's probably the best thing you can do. It gives the people who know what the fuck they're doing room to work, and reduces chances of you getting infected.

How many cases do we need to get here before we take some preventative measures to prevent the spread of this disease?

Actually, the disease can be carried and spread by other animals, it appears.

In any case, the US is hardly threatened by this disease. There's no need to quarantine the country or something, and there's certainly nothing wrong with sending help to those in Africa, who actually are threatened in a big way.

Well, the world's not in jeopardy anyways, at least not from ebola, but if it was, then no, it almost certainly would not save the world.

Thanks. I appreciate the warm response :P

Presumably it would be a harem anime with all the plagues represented.

Of course, the bloody noses would be a little redundant...

That's so wrong, but it would be so hilarious.

I'm reminded of a masquerade at a science fiction convention where someone made costumes representing different plagues. They did diseases from different parts of the world, and the costumes were inspired by ethnic costumes from the places where the diseases originated, but done up to look more fantastic and intimidating, and with make-up to make them look sick and/or inhuman. They had Ebola, Yellow Fever, the Plague, and I think there were one or two others, but I don't remember which diseases. Mostly I remember Ebola and the Plague. Yellow Fever wasn't as spectacular, but they won best in show anyway cos they were really well-made costumes.

Ebola's not even as a serious a threat to the US as that enterovirus thing that's been going around. It's just all over the news because of how many people have died in Africa, and people are scared of it because of how quickly it kills.

I was making light of the situation, of course Ebola is not a major threat to the United States of America the only reason Ebola is spreading so much in west Africa is because of unsanitary conditions within the area.
