Look to Ezekiel, it is everyday that we pray for the Temple to be restored.

To the (religious) Jews, the restoration of the temple would mean the restoration of the Kingdom of Israel under Davidic line by the actual Messiah (the heir to the throne) and the coming a utopian age.

The Jews avoid vocalising their god's actual name given by the tetragrammaton (יְהֹוָה -> YHWH -> Yahweh), instead reading it as Adonai (translated to Lord), and referring to it as HaShem ("the name").

Given that the last two temples were built by men, seems likely the third will be built be men. And like the last two, it'll be named for the reigning monarch who ordered it's reconstruction. (Solomon's Temple, Herod's Temple, [Whoever the Messiah is]'s Temple). At least, that's how I understand it. (But I'm not Jewish.)

Because whenever G-d is referred to in physical terms it is meant as a metaphor. It is axiomatic that G-d is not physical and has no physical properties. We, however, are physical and can better understand things from a physical frame of reference. Hence the use of the physical as a helpful metaphor for the understanding of a quality of G-d.

Menassa is right, Ezekiel tells us that eternal dwelling place of the God of Israel on the Temple Mount in Jerusalem.
But how do you all feel about the Dome of the Rock and the Al Aqsa Mosque? Both constructed on out holiest place as an insult to us, but now also have great religious and historical significance. Should a third temple be built around them or should they be demolished, or even relocated brick by brick?
