Now I know what the Gemara means when it says "If there was no government, man will swallow his friend whole." ;)

In my city, there were protests! right Goyim need to keep 7 mitzvos?

ONE OF THEM IS NO STEALING!

What thing did the people do in the DOR HAMABUL did Hashem say: "ENOUGH IS ENOUGH!"? STEALING!

Because your mad, you're gonna steal? Where's the fear of Hashem, even by Goyim, where it would be God!

If stealing was right, the world would fall apart.

I heard a funny story! So I shall post it!

There was once a guy who was not so fluent in the Davening, and didn't know what the words mean. He wanted to bless his children on Friday night, but he didn't know what to say! He went to maariv one ngith, and he heard them Blessing hashem, Yisgadal Viysis.....

Hmm, okay, that sounds nice.
Ki hamalchus Shelicha Hi

That's sounds like a nice blessing!

He comes to Shacharis the next day, and he hears the morning Brachos, okay.

THEN CAME KORBANOS! In Aizehu Mikoman, it seems their Minhag was that the Chazzan sings the last verse of each Mishana. So the guy is listening, and he hears something he likes. THE CHAZZAN SINGS:

Eilu, Vaeilu, Nisrafin Biveis Hadahsen!

I LIKE THAT BRACHA! I'LL GIVE IT TO MY KIDS!

Comes Friday night, and he says: Kindelech, we have an amazing Bracha for you!

"YAY!"

And he puts one hand on one head, the other on the other, and he says: Eilu, Vaeilu, Nisrafin Biveis Hadahsen!
"YAY TOTTY!"

Weeks and weeks pass, and someone came to visit for Shabbos! And so, as always the guy puts one hand on one head, the other on the other, and he says: Eilu, Vaeilu, Nisrafin Biveis Hadahsen!

The visitor gasps :lol2:   DO YOU KNOW WHAT THAT MEANS?!

Uh, no.

"IT MEANS THIS ONE AND THIS ONE SHALL BURN IN THE PLACE OF ASHES!" (He was unintentionally wishing that his sons get burned with ashes.)

Yikes, okay. I'll get a new Bracha.

That night, the visitor had a dream. It seems Heaven was not happy with the visitor telling the guy that what it meant. He heard that Heaven said: Do you know what we did with that bracha? We rearranged it to turn into something beautiful! The guy meant it!

Fun Fact: Abracadabra is Jewish.

Abra: I will create,
Cadabra: As I speak.

I read Abracadabra = Habarucha the Blessing + Dabra speaking

This forum is not the proper place for this, but I think it would be good for us to join together and study Daf Yomi.

I am a strong supporter of Israel and the Jewish People. Viva Israel and the Jewish People.
Apart from the Palestinian Problem, I admire the modern day multi political capitalist nation they have created. I admire their military power and how they turned deserts into farmlands.

That reminds me; I think it would be good to discuss how each of us think that the Palestinian problem should be resolved.

The best solution in my mind is the easy and most straightforward one, Israel should take the land if they have the military might to make that a reality. The whole point of Israel from the beginning, whether people like it or not- was to advance Zionism after World War II, whilst there was still enough international sympathy to allow for it.

No.

Israel- Palestine is a different topic with it's own mega thread.

We do NOT need the multitude of antisemitic putz's, puking all over this thread with their drivel.

You want to talk about the jewishish connection to Israel, that's fine. Including the Palestinians is not.

YES!

Anyway, walking down a block, and I hear from an ice cream truck:

"Something, Mach a Bracha, Mach a Bracha, Mach a Bracha, Something, Mach a Bracha, Macha a bracha, Something!"
I don't remember the entire song you can see, but if an ice cream truck goes and plays Jewish music, that's something!

Is it too late to continue posting on this thread?

If it isn't, I guess threads die when fast days come!
