That being said, you have three options to choose from.

You can live apart from the world in a self-imposed ghetto with other like-minded people, and continue to practice your gender segregation together. Or you can go out to the public sphere with your current attitudes and continue to clash with the people around you. Or you can modify your beliefs and behaviors and no longer practice segregation, discrimination, and the denial of civil rights based on gender. It’s up to you to decide how to live your life."

He is. He can't honor the fast due to medical concerns. He seemed pretty upset to discuss it with me.

Some people maintain a lighter diet if their health issues prevent them from fully fasting...
If the health issues are more moderate they eat and drink in extremely small amounts.

Glad I approved, I approve as well

Lol! Yeah. He and I (just like you, Benuty, and I) get along great. We haven't really delved into faith but after the fasting conversation it was clear he was interested. I don't usually bring faith or politics or anything up with people outside of NSG, so it'll be a treat if he does probe. Today wasn't the day for a discussion though. He was clearly elsewhere in his mindset.

He has told me that, being Orthodox, I should make it my mission in life to visit Israel. He asked, "how can you honor Jesus if you don't visit the place that calls itself his home*" He made a very fair point. So.... I'm thinking that you and I should arrange a trip next year.

Next year, might actually be a viable time to arrange a trip to Israel... in fact I might be studying abroad there...
