The average poll samples just 1,000 people. Obviously, this poll will have a large margin of error, but for ~29% of people in the poll to say it, it means that it's likely a decent minority would actually say it. For example, if the average poll of 1000 as a +3/-3 margin of error, it's likely that a poll of 274 would have a much larger margin of error. Even if the margin of error was +20/-20, 9% of people would still be saying it...or 49% of people could be saying it. What I mean is that due to the fact that 29% of respondents said this, even with an extremely large margin of error, a significant chunk still likely said it.
