What if the White House was also hit on 9/11?

We would've rebuilt the white house again. It's just a building, it's also a symbol of national pride, but overall....just brick and mortar. President Bush probably would've stayed at the Blair House, or at his Texas Ranch (since that's where he was most of 2001 anyway). It probably would've made people feel more vulnerable seeing the White House set a flame, but it wouldn't have made that day that much worse. Under attack...is under attack. It's horrible either way.

It would have been disruptive if a very large number of the members of Congress were killed, but Senators can be replaced almost immediately by the governors of their states and members of the House who die in office are replaced by special elections, which makes things a bit more complicated but not unworkable.
