I am going with a Saiga either in 20 Gauge (for preference) or 12 Gauge for my basic battery.

This falls under "some people just aren't bright".

During the October Revolution, the Bolsheviks could not really arm themselves that well since firearms couldn't be owned and handguns were practically impossible to find. Since it was easier to find/steal rifles, which at the time were M91s, they did what they had to do to make a concealable weapon: grab Mosin, get hacksaw, go innaStalingrad.

I was thinking that was more a modern chop-job. My bad.

Some people replicate them for the same reason people still make sawn-off shotguns: cool factor.

If I can find a proper host rifle that is no longer serviceable otherwise, I will probably make an Obrez, myself.

Aye. On top of that, it's a bolt-action weapon. I can't imagine it's really that convenient in its sawed-off form.

RWC Group simply renamed themselves to Kalashnikov USA. However, word is they are under the supervision of CK.

However, Century has showed us improved RAS47s, PSA is apparently making AKs now, MagPul gives a shit about AK now, and so does Geiselle.

Saigas are pretty cool.

Here in a month or so, I'll be sending some money out and have a Hungarian AKMS come to me in return. Have been wanting an underfolder for a long time.

I'm pretty boring, honestly. But here's a few of my favorites, in no particular order:

S&W M&P9 (soon to be my service gun when I get through police academy)
Browning BPS 12ga (Ambi thumb safety, downward ejection, and a nice wood finish? Yes please)
Swedish Mauser (glorious Mauser action, now with cock-on-close!)
Browning Citori (I'm a sucker for a sexy over/under skeet gun)
AR-15 (generic? yes. ergonomic and comfortable as fuck? also yes.)
S&W No.3 Schofield (it's just so damn elegant)
M1911 (can't argue with a classic)
Remington 700 in 7mm-08 Remington (Combine with bow for maximum deer meat)
Browning T-Bolt Sporter
Stärke durch Einheit , Macht durch Entscheidung
Bundesreich Mittle Frankryk/Federal Empire of Middle Francia

Population: ~158 Million|Government Type: Federal Constitutional Monarchy|Current Leader: His Imperial Highness Karlomagne Magnus Burkhart XII|Economic Base: Military-Industrial Production and Technology

Call me Frank. Not actually a hardcore militant imperialist.

The only .50 gun I've seen live is ITKK 12,7. It's a Russian anti-air machine gun that is used under the name ITKK (AAMG) in Finnish Defence Forces :p

I've let a few shoot my AR that weren't to sure of buying one. After sending a few rounds down range, they were hooked.

I might just get her one for her birthday.

Funny thing though, when I first saw the vid, I thought it was of some little girl shooting.
