I would think issueing verbal commands while pointing the weapon at them would be more effective, but I've never been in such a situation.

That sounds scary to me.

Idm I'll just withdraw and assault your position

During a break in?

Also "entire squad chambers weapons" is in the handbook for escalation of force during peacekeeping.

But don't the suppresors that they've been working on issuing not work with the M27?

They've put a new RFI out for that.

TBF if you're playing "Show of Force" with a burglar you're doing it wrong.

I think it's aiming for the airsoft market with that price. But the thought of that thing getting shot out is too frightening to think too deeply into.

Once you're in that kind of situation - being scary is least of your concerns.

Scariest thing you can do is producing a large volume of fire.

yes because a laser is still far easier to focus on with both eyes open. It's just a suggestion.

You are incorrect. What's faster is just point-shooting at the target or using an AR-15 with a red dot.

are we talking police or military?

because who_cares if its military

m855 it does ~the job~

end of story

whenever we get working caseless assault rifles is when we'll care about changing bollets.

git u some mk262 bro

If you're in a confrontation, do you think you'll be looking at your chest or at the threat? The laser's dot is on your chest: the place you aren't looking. There is no deterrence inherent with a laser sight. I've had weapons pointed at me that were equipped with laser sights. Never once saw the laser.

So been eyeing some possible woods side-arms. Looking at probably .44 Mag. thinking about the S&W 629.

I carried a Taurus .44 mag (although if I'm honest, most of its range-time used .44 special) while hunting in Texas brush.

Also, I applaud you for not being somebody wanting a .500 Linebaugh or X-frame Smith Yosemite Sam hand cannon as seems to be the fashion now. (Although to be fair, there probably are woods where its warranted, I just don't know them).

Well I don't live in Alaska, so black bear or cougar is what I'd be dealing with. Figured .44 is suitable.

I doubt you'd even have to worry about the black bears tbh.

I saw footage on youtube one time, this guy on top of a huge cylindrical bear trap/transport, opens the cage while standing atop the cylinder (I believe they were in the process of releasing it), guy falls down, bears starts mauling him, he empties like five rounds of .454 casull into the thing (I think it was either a Super Redhawk or some other big ruger but the barrel was shorter than you usually see on those).

I've never had to fight a bear and I doubt I'd even get a shot off, but this dude put four or five rounds into it at close range while it was jacking him up, and it never stopped jacking him up. I didn't see the end.

But his problem required him to choose to be at close quarters with a bear just let out of cage. Unless you hunt really different than me, you won't have that issue.

Yeah the black bears are highly unlikely to be an issue, cougars on the other hand can be assholes, especially in the winter.

I came across this video and I can't tell if it is based in truth or just fiction, but I could see it happening. The setting is obviously in the UK. Now this is what the 2nd amendment is for- some bad hombres run amok in the UK and the British more often than not- aren't able to defend their property, dignity, and honor.

Americans don't put up with no hooligans vandalizing their home and castle. If anyone tries that they're liable to get shot, and this is legally protected in the US when the circumstances are clear. If it is established that the people involved threw a Molotov cocktail or done other criminal actions.

Those rotten kids in the video, probably deserve no mercy should they ignore all prior warning and if they knew they could run up against potentially lethal force if they do something warranting retaliation, they would be scared enough to stay well away.

The US is so much better in terms of property and gun rights, it is no wonder Stuart Varney became an American! His native country is full of terrible, terrible people in government- who don't appreciate self defense enough so as to enshrine that into law.

10mm is pretty much .50 AE level of useless. Too much for two legged baddies, too little for four legged baddies.
