I wish I could buy firearms and ammo at my local grocery store. I mean they could at least have them next to the meat department, or.... Grocery stores should have the; alcohol, tobacco and firearms all in one isle.

Though i think you need at least basic training to operate a firearm, its not something you should buy in a supermarket.

The 8mm Lebel was the most common round in French service until WW2, virtually all of heir weapons used it. The Chauchat, despite what most people will tell you, wasn't the worst gun. It was the most common automatic weapon of WW1 after all. The majority of complaints with it are blown out of proportion.

The Chauchat was, in French doctrine, used in two man teams. The holes in the magazine were so that second man could see how much ammunition was left. While the long recoil system was fairly complicated, it was strong.

IT might not have been a great gun, but it was what was available.

Yes, I hate pushing a cart/trolley all throughout a store to get things, having it all in one isle is a time saver!
Yes, save up, always save up for firearms/ammo. I put away a weekly allowance for firearms/ammo, and at the end of the month I go out and buy something(s).

Well, M16s are available in either configuration, so I'm not seeing any issue unless you're simply being more pedantic than even our service members are in casual conversation.

That's what I should do. Let's see... 5-10 dollars a month... around a hundred dollars a year... I'll probably need to save up for at least two years.

I know you’re a damn socialist (according to your sig, at least) but regardless of political ideology, the SKS is quite popular in the West as a sporting firearm. They have fugly tactical ones with M4-type adjustable stocks and pistol grips.
Plus, if you’re a regular on 4chan’s /k/ threads, you’ll know it’s a favorite.

An SKS would be good - especially one that uses stripper clips. Those are quite satisfying to load in my opinion.

I save and buy when something comes up and I have the money. Right now my problem is, is that I am halfway to an AR10, or all the way to one ore more less expensive weapons. Decisions, decisions.

Come to think of it, I need a .22 or a few. I have almost 4,000 rounds of the stuff and nothing to shoot it with.
