Talked to a friend of mine who has 68 acres of land nearby. Working on a trade: I teach him to shoot and he lets me build and use a range on his land.

Practiced some hands-on gun control of an AR-15 yesterday. My friend almost got us kicked out of the range because he was sighting over the rear sight ring rather than through the hole, and firing into the ceiling as a result.

Sadly, when I was in basic training, only about three of us in my platoon had any firearms experience. I ended up teaching most of the marksmanship.

Sadly, when I was in basic training, only about three of us in my platoon had any firearms experience. I ended up teaching most of the marksmanship.

I was in cadets so i learned to shoot when i was 13. It got better when I hit 16 and was allowed to use the fully automatic weapon.

I got familiar with the similar American weapons, but I was more interested in what kinds of handguns and rifles you have used. I am familiar with just about everything. Semi-auto rifles and handguns, revolvers, bolt, pump, lever actions, single shots doubles. Shotguns.

Edit wouldn't mind a go with the SA80s.

Outside of the army stuff, I've fired a few hand guns in Denmark with my uncle, but don't ask me what they were. I've been on 2 hunting weekends with a very rich friend of mine when I used a Holland and Holland shotgun and missed everything.

If you have literally never fired a gun before you can make that kind of mistake.

If a person has never fired a gun before then why wasn't someone teaching them? Guns are fucking dangerous and shooting bullets into the ceiling is fucking criminal.

Criminally stupid. Almost as bad as letting them shoot without at least a brief familiarization. Starting with safety of course.

Well if the bullet went over the backstop (outdoor) or ricocheted (indoor) it could endanger someone.

Yes, it is. Even that, while a bit darken compared to the more expensive one, is still in fair condition. There is some rust spots on it, but nothing too hateful, the rust that is on it are tiny; would say 1/4 to 1mm in diameter.

That could probably be cleaned up in a shop.

Or replace some of the more worn out parts; bought a manual that goes of 1911.

If you try to teach a teenager gun safety, the first they're gonna do is point the gun in every direction, but the safe direction.
