If my math is right the total for the AR parts will come out to about $570 before shipping and all that jazz. I'll probably get it all sometime in the next month or so.

I plan on adding a PTR91 to my collection in addition to my AR. Among others.

That would certainly be cool, the G3 is a nice rifle.

Yeah I'm aware, I've used them a few times before and I really like them overall but I can build a few AR's for the cost of a SCAR.

For $2300 I can get a PTR another pistol or two and still have money left over for ammo and accessories (or more guns).

I have thought abut that myself. It would be a bit more expensive than a PTR though.

That's about what I would pay for a PTR around here.

BATFE apparently cashed my SBR check a ways back. Wonder when my stamp will come back. Going for a 10.5in. AR-15 upper: going to get a BCM lightweight 11.5in. upper and cut it to size when the stamp returns. Transfer all my furniture/accessories to it from my current set-up, turn my current set-up into an M4 Carbine clone once it becomes a spare upper.

I want to go the opposite way with 20-26 inch barrels depending on caliber.

The perks of two take-down pins and separate receiver halves, right? ;)
