I never went outside.
Grounding isn't just keeping you from going outdoors. When I was grounded I lost all privelages no tv, no music, I wasn't even permitted to start a conversation unless it was to relay an important message like "The house is on fire". If I have kids I'll ground them in the same manner. No computers, tv, music, smart devices, etc. the only things they'll be allowed to do are homework and chore related.

Sadly, you'll probably get the same excuse I managed to start giving - "my homework is all online assessments"
Or has to be submitted by email.

Took my parents two years to work out why I wasn't getting homework at school - I wasn't doing it and forged their signature for detention slips
Never updated mum's contact information with the school so they couldn't follow it up.
Slightly strange point in my life. Got a detention for a thing I never did very early in secondary school and promptly proceeded to begin giving no shits.

There seem to be three kinds of teenagers - the ones who work too hard, the ones who don't care, and the ones who find the work too easy so they don't even bother.

An unruly child is unruly due to your faults as a parent, ie; not providing enough attention(or providing extreme attention).

well an unruly toddler is a feature of the age. parents think that spanking makes them more well behaved but all that really happens is that they grow up a bit and behave better because they are more mature.
