Agnostic as I can't prove or disprove the existence of a deity.

I grew up in a Catholic household and the entirety of my mother's side of the family was Catholic. Coincidentally, the entirety of my father's side of the family are atheists, though their beliefs had no influence over my own decision to be agnostic. I came to that decision in HS shortly after going through my confirmation into the Catholic church. I had studied the bible quite heavily up until that point, and there were too many inconsistencies and contradictions for me to take Catholicism, or any religion for that matter, seriously. However, being that I was raised Catholic I have a tremendous amount of respect for the faith and certain aspects within the religion, most notably charity.

"Faith" is absolutely not the right word here. Faith is generally believing in something when there's no provable evidence. Not believing that there is a god requires no faith, as there is nothing to put faith into. Believing that a god does exist requires faith; atheism is simply the default when exposed to no religious beliefs.
