Can Rand Paul beat Hillary?

Winning the female vote is the only reason we know who Sarah Palin is. The McCain people somehow thought that Hillary's supporters would abandon Obama is they put a woman on the ticket with McCain.

I thought it was because Johnny Mac was attracted to Palin and imagined late night sessions at the Oval Office with her. He has a history of cheating and it seemed more logical than any other reason I could think of. For a man of his age, Palin is very attractive. Your idea is the safer one to make public though.

Perhaps Rand Paul could place a minority on the ticket as a way to show republicans are not just for whites. Dr. Walter Williams (respected African-American economist) would be a possible choice if he wanted to accept it. This could help him get the minority vote. I can't think of any good female choices though.

The token minority doesn't really help out that much, Obama did help drive up the African American votes yes bit he was already a democrat and supported policies which were already favored by African American communities in the first place.

Hillary will get 90% of the female vote-this is enough to propel her to an easy win.

Rand Paul is against abortion (something I can go either way on). This will cost him many female votes. The fact he is a man and Hillary is a woman will cost him most of the remaining female votes.

Hopefully the republicans won't be foolish enough to choose a Sarah Palin vs. Hillary Clinton election as a way to win the female vote though.

You don't think some women voted for JFK over Nixon in 1960 based on his youthful looks? Looks matter quite a bit. Ron Paul's looks are one reason his vote count was so small in past primaries (it certainly aren't his policies which were much better than policies of all the other candidates).
