Also, considering the shitstorm was one of transphobia, the label is accurate. You can have different opinions without being transphobic.

Also, a fair many of us hate Dumblr with a passion. But keep going on with your assumptions, and don't let little things like facts get in your way.

I know that I'm right in what I'm saying because people are getting so worked up, it means that it's too close to home.
Anything-phobe is a buzzword, obvious hypocrisy.

Just keep being an ignorant bigot.

Clearly we're the ones who are wrong for not discriminating.

"elitism" what?

Whoever started this thread started it with the intention of hearing the opinion of people like him/her/they/it/whatever. (Oh ,look, I'm tolerant now) He/she/it/whatever was opposed to hearing opposing arguments along with the rest of the vanguard of NSG valiantly fighting off the horrible conservatives. This is elitist by definition.

1. I know that I'm right in what I'm saying because people are getting so worked up, it means that it's too close to home.
2. Anything-phobe is a buzzword, obvious hypocrisy.

1. By that logic (which, coincidentally, sounds an awful lot like admission of trolling to me), we're right because you're getting so worked up and we're "hitting too close to home".

2.

I was actually referring to "liberal vanguard", and "tumblr-fascism". You should really learn to stop assuming. You know what they say about what happens when you assume.

I looked for a Mao quote, but I couldn't find it so I paraphrased it. Sorry.

Mao was a mass murderer not really someone you should want to live up to.

1. Not trolling because I actually believe what I'm saying and am stating truth.
2. You were using it as a buzzword, admit it.

What happens when I assume? I know, it makes movies less interesting, but usually, I assume correctly. Unless the liberal vanguard says that they are open to disagreeing opinions, liberal vanguard, tumblr-fascism and elitism are correct words. Max and the mods own the forum, keep that in mind.

He said clever/catchy things though. He also wrote a nice little book with a nice little cover.

To your eternal cosmic credit, I have been known to quote Stalin, because he said one or two clever things.

But anyway, not the point. The point is that you should actually start to use evidence, rather than basing your argument solely on how much you're pissing everyone off with it.

I'm not a victim. I didn't state my opinion on transgenders, y'all made a bunch of assumptions, also please explain how what you just said makes any sense, I never said myself to be a victim, instead I'm just trying to see why y'all seem not to want dialogue.

I just find it a little awkward talking to them while I figure out how they want to be addressed. Basically it feels like I have to tread carefully for the first few seconds until I work what that particular person prefers to be called.

I have to disagree. My opinions are usually in the minority of NSG, and sometimes, people just don't listen. But it varies from user to user. My opinions don't seem to be welcome and you want evidence? Just go on page 5 of the thread, file with people who obviously don't want to hear opposing opinions.

I think transgenders should do whatever they want as long as they don't hurt anybody. As long as they don't fall into assimilationism and instead show solidarity with other put upon people, they are friends of mine.

There are a few, of whom I won't name, who do frequent gender threads, and are rather elitist. But it's possible to ignore them.
