I dunno why you go that far but stop there, especially with that fact that gender is a social construct. If you support somebody wanting to be a binary gender, or even both, why not support something like a person rejecting the binary or gender altogether? Or defining their gender using their own personal feelings rather than society's old system originally created to facilitate oppression and separate classes?

Transsexuals are probably closet homosexuals. A man wants to become a woman and probably is also attracted to men. Why not just be a drag queen and date gay men instead? He wouldn't need a complex surgery and he has the option to dress properly when visiting his family (so they don't know his other lifestyle). He also wouldn't be lying to straight men that have no interest in dating a transsexual.

I am not trying to be rude, it just seems unnecessary to change ones sex and it is really sad when they have children and change sex later. It shames the family (especially in the case when a public official did it). He had a 15 year old son at the time of divorce, I am curious if the son was upset about the situation.

I don't follow your logic because:

1. Being a homosexual cis person is a lot easier than being a transsexual of any sexuality. I imagine gender therapy, HRT, and SRS are expensive as hell. Plus there's a lot more stigma towards trans people than LGB people. Not to say that LGB people aren't discriminated against, though.

2. Your theory kinda forgets about trans people who aren't attracted to only the gender they were assigned at birth. What about lesbian mtfs/gay ftms? Bisexuals? Asexuals?

I'm glad you have never felt oppressed due to your gender, but lots of women have. Not just "felt," but been outright visibly oppressed and exploited. Lots of minorities and women of marginalized groups, especially. WOC and trans women. Women in countries exploited by imperialism. Rape victims. Rape victims who are WOC and/or trans. Murder victims who are WOC and/or trans!

Lots of minorities and women of marginalized groups, especially. WOC and trans women. Women in countries exploited by imperialism. Rape victims. Rape victims who are WOC and/or trans. Murder victims who are WOC and/or trans!
