Neo-liberalism in New Zealand at least is advocacy of the false free market and corporatism, so realistically any party is more pro-free market than the National party - with perhaps the exception of NZ First.

The only reason why the idea is stupid is because of NZ's particular economic circumstances. In places like the US it makes more sense (and, I believe it also worked but I can't be arsed checking because I don't really care).
