Oh look there is a jewish swastika you just proved that it's not an anti-jewish symbol!

What did the Nazis do to Americans other than killing thousands of US soldiers (which the Japanese military did as well). Are you thinking from a global point of view or an American point of view?
1) You dislike the swastika because the Nazis used it as their symbol and the Nazis killed millions of non-American Jews and this should be a concern in the USA.
2) You think the rising sun symbol is OK because relatively few Americans were killed by the Japanese army during WW2. The fact they killed many thousands of people without justification in Asia is not something worth considering in the USA.
Are you implying the lives of European Jews, communists, and gypsies were more valuable than the lives of Korean and Chinese citizens? You should hate both symbols equally and want to fire anybody who dares to use either of these symbols on a sandwich bun that few people would even notice.
You mean, other than the fact that the US has one of the highest Jewish populations in the world? That might have something to do with it... (Just sayin')
1) You are aware that the Nazis didn't kill just Jews, right? And that, as I've pointed out, the US has one of the world's highest Jewish populations?
2) Please, quote me where I said any of this.
Quit building straw-men.

Because you're deliberately being obtuse. Yes, there's a Jewish Swastika. Guess what? The public at-large neither knows nor gives a shit.
(And, yes, I know I've linked this already. I'm going to continue linking it until you understand what the hell it means.)

That's what I thought. (Don't use logical fallacies if you're not willing to own up to them when called.)
As to your response:
1) Well, isn't that sweet of you.
2) Speak for yourself.

What say you NSG? Is it freedom of expression? Did the employee deserve to be fired? Should employees be held to a higher standard of professionalism? Is the quality control of fast food restaurants slipping?
Personally I think this was too far. This day in age employees should be more professional. There are plenty of people who would happily take his job.

All joking aside, it's a sandwich. Just because some kid got bored and drew something offensive in butter on a sandwich does not give a Casus Belli to fire said person. It's not like he laced the bun with Cyanide.

Maybe the public at large should have a better education system as it's a fairly well known fact.

1) I added communists and gypsies in my last post-I know the Nazis killed non-Jews. How many Jews are in North Carolina? Their percentage of the North Carolina population is tiny.
2) "Considering the worst the Japanese did to the US was a surprise attack that didn't even do the level of damage it was supposed to, most Americans don't even recognize the Rising Sun Flag. I mean, you might have a point if this were China or Korea or somewhere along those lines, but it's not." This implies that the rising sun is OK to use as a symbol in the USA because the Japanese didn't do much damage to the USA (although they killed thousands of Americans in WW2).

The reason you don't have any problems is because this is clearly not the same thing as this.
By the way, I'm sure that idiot employee was evoking the ancient significance of that symbol when he drew a swastika in that customer's sandwich out of boredom. *facepalm*

Atelia wrote:Alright, so let's say nothing ought to be like any pre conceived notion or ideal, and that a sense of justice shouldn't be used simply because in truth how things work out is rather erratic, in that case why should we bother to argue the subject? There clearly is no reason for order and we are just slaves forced to carry the burden of the decisions of a tyranny by majority and because we don't abide by the decisions not determined in any way by something with our beliefs influence we should lose our jobs and gain an unfair association. So if that is the case then throw out any notion of argument or speaking out, because clearly the representatives of the peoples opinion can't be beat because they represent the opinion of the majority.
And yes I made a straw man big whoop, focus on the big picture.
