The protesters are right. I hope they tear the whole state apart, and only stop when the police are fleeing in panic from the wave of violence and destruction.
Or the cops could stop murdering people. Either way.

Never, never be afraid to do what's right, especially if the well-being of a person is at stake. Society's punishments are small compared to the wounds we inflict on our soul when we look the other way.
We have nothing to lose but the world. We have our souls to gain.

Even if you are right, there is absolutely no reason to riot

The officer shot someone unarmed and somewhere along the lines of thirty feet away... TEN TIMES.

But go ahead and live your racist fantasy.

is that an official number of shots?

Not that quickly. They were investigating the scene for hours. And they can request that witnesses come in and give statements. According to the other teenager that was walking with Brown, he wasn't allowed to give a statement either despite the fact that he was standing a few feet away when this started and the fact that his account matches up with the accounts of the other witnesses.

sure, but this guy has photos of them standing around outside his house and alleges that they even found time to cover it in police tape.

What the officer did was unexcusable and now we have a dead teen because he was sacspected of maybe being a Robert suspect. As from what most people have said (I haven't personally seen the photo but lots of people who both know and have seen pictures of Michael Brown have said this across the board) that the person in the security picture did not look like Brown. It's also weird that out of all the eyewitness testimony the only story that differed is the police report and that Michael Brown had no prior issues with the police (the officer also had no disciplinary issues). Not to mention the excessive militaristic force the police are using against both rioters and peaceful protesters.

Hopefully the violence will end and that steps will be taken to prevent such overreach and incidents like this from happening. I've heard of a bill that will end the DoD from supplying police forces with military grade weaponry and help to demilitarize the police, I've already e-mail my representative to support the bill. Also of I were to be a part if the problem solving process I would take the rout taken by several other police forces and require them to wear cameras which statistically on average halve the number of Complains against the police by members of the communities.

However this obviously isn't an excuse to loot and riot and demonstration should be peaceful in nature which for the most part has been the case but we do have to stop the sporadic looting and rioting.

The gangbangers are now threatening to kill journalists for reporting.

Now would be a good time to deploy the national guard with tanks and admired vehicles to defend businesses and protect freedom of the press.

Yes, I wonder why people would have a problem with reporters filming them performing illegal acts?

Last time I checked the police were the ones unjustly arresting Journalist. I'm sure that's a bigger threat to Freedom of Press then a couple of "gangbangers".
