I get rather worked up in real life and can rant about this case at the drop of a hat.

there is so much wrong here that --not unlike a star wars prequel-- you cant remember it all at once and when you are reminded of it it makes you start ranting again.

Really, his point is NOT difficult to understand.

Clearly it is when you drew that conclusion from him actually saying "shouldn't a man's life be worth as much as a dog's life?"

See, when I read posts, I like to do so within context. You should try that.

And so did the allies of America. If it's barely making news in Canada I doubt the Russians care much.

Apparently the suspect was witnessed robbing from a shop before. And even though he shot him, there us no excuse to act uncivilized and burn down local businesses. Fuck the rioters.

Just because like 1,000 people protested/rioted in a country of 317 million people? No.

The riots happened only after police used disproportionate amounts of force against peaceful protesters. Of course, this isn't an excuse either, but it's wrong to paint the rioting as nothing more than a response to Brown being killed.

If they hadn't rioted there wouldn't have been a police response like this.

Again, no. The rioting was a response to police using disproportionate amounts of force against peaceful protesters. The police then only INCREASED the force on top of that which only enraged the rioters even further. If police had handled this like they should have in the beginning, this wouldn't have escalated to the level that it did.

if the police had behaved differently there wouldn't have been riots.

there is such a thing as righteous anger. when the people have a reason to be angry the police need to do what needs to be done to fix the situation. they finally started that last night and this morning.

When I was 2 I learned a very simple lesson "Two wrongs don't make a right" The riots did nothing to help the situation and made it worse.
